Spelling Class Champion Awards

Midway Elementary School of Science and Engineering held its annual Spelling Bee, Thursday, February 11, 2010. Twenty two class spelling winners were awarded Class Champion Awards. The competition was held in the school media center and all participants competed diligently. Midway Elementary School of Science and Engineering Spelling Bee Champion for the 2009-2010 School Year is Lizzy Smith. Lizzy is a student in Mrs. Addison's fifth grade class and will represent Midway in the upcoming 9th Annual Independent Mail Regional Spelling Bee. It will be held at the T. L. Hanna auditorium at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Science Fair Winners
4th and 5th Grade

Midway Elementary School of Science and Engineering recently held its annual Science Fair. More than 180 fourth and fifth grade students submitted individual projects to the fair. On December 8, 2009, all of those students were recognized for their participation. Forty-two students were also presented with first, second, third or honorable mention awards.
